"When Past and Present Converge: Discovering Montclair's History & Future" is a project sponsored by the City of Montclair and the George C. and Hazel G. Reeder Heritage Foundation. For twelve weeks in the spring of 2009, forty 4th grade students at Lehigh and Kingsley Elementary Schools worked with artist Leslie Matamoros to learn the story of the Reeder family who lived in Montclair for nearly 100 years. Students also explored their own family history and how they came to live in Montclair. The exhibit presents photographs, drawings and oral interview excerpts created by the students.
